RealtorsŪ and New Homes
Question: The sales counselor at
the builder's
model home is friendly, courteous and helpful. Why
would we also need or want a RealtorŪ to help us?
Answer: Being represented by a
RealtorŪ when buying any home is smart. The key word here is
"represented". Builder sales counselors represent the builder, not you. Their job
is to get you sold and closed quickly on terms favorable to the builder. It is
not their job to help you make a smart purchase. So,
it just makes sense to be represented by a RealtorŪ for a new home
purchase. And, it won't cost you anything either. The builder will pay your
RealtorŪ.
Question: If the builder will pay a RealtorŪ
then we should get a price break without one. Right?
Answer: No, sorry, that won't work. Builders
highly value the customer traffic that RealtorsŪ bring them. They won't cut
special deals with individuals which might jeopardize good working relations
and future traffic.
Question:
So, how can we get a price break on a new home?
Answer:
There are several ways but you'll have to ask your RealtorŪ. Depending on the
home, builder and how much assistance you want Blakeman Properties may be able
to save you up to 1.5% of the Sales Price.
